What is GCRA

 Greater Cabarrus Reading Association is a group of people who are dedicated to promoting literacy in Cabarrus County.  We reach out to our community with free events such as "Seuss at the Mall" that celebrates Dr. Seuss and promotes reading to children of all ages. We also encourage creative writing through our annual Young Authors writing contest. We provide professional development for educators, parents and those interested through mini-conferences and guest authors, among other things. We even offer a scholarship for anyone who chooses to further their education in the area of literacy.
